What Parents Say
About Dr. Lennie
For more than 30 years, I have dedicated my career to caring for newborns, infants, children, and adolescents, supporting families through every stage of childhood.
Throughout my career, I have worked in leading hospitals in South Africa, San Diego, California, USA—including the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) worked under the world famous pioneer of Neonatal Intensive Care “Units, Dr. Louis Gluck—and Tel Aviv, Israel. These experiences have given me the opportunity to care for children with a wide range of medical needs while gaining invaluable clinical experience.
My passion extends beyond treating illness. Over the years, I have explored the research and work of pediatricians, child psychologists, child psychiatrists, and education specialists to better understand how children learn, grow, and develop.
I believe that while there is no single “right” way to raise a child, parents can be empowered with practical knowledge and effective tools that make a meaningful difference. Many of the most important life skills can be encouraged from an early age, helping children build confidence, resilience, curiosity, emotional intelligence, and the abilities they need to thrive in the 21st century.
My goal is to provide parents with clear, evidence-informed guidance that is practical, compassionate, and easy to apply—helping every child reach their full potential while giving parents greater confidence along the journey.

Example Questions
Parent of a 2-year-old:
Dr. Lennie:
The first step is to check your child’s hearing to make sure there are no hearing-related issues. If the hearing is normal, the next step is to determine whether your child understands simple everyday instructions, such as “Please bring me your toy” or “Go drink some water.”
If both hearing and comprehension are normal, it is quite possible that your child is simply developing speech at a slower pace and will begin talking more over time.
One simple activity that can be very helpful is reading a book together every day, as this encourages language development and expands voc
Parent of a 4-year-old:
Dr. Lennie:
The most important priority is to make sure your child is staying well hydrated.
When it comes to food, offer a balanced meal on a plate and allow your child to decide when to eat. If your child is healthy, hunger will usually encourage them to eat when they are ready.
Try to avoid arguments, pressure, or power struggles around mealtimes, as these can make the situation more challenging.
Parent of a 10-year-old:
Dr. Lennie:
The first step is to understand the reason behind your child’s reluctance. It’s important to find out whether they are experiencing bullying, social exclusion, or any other difficulties at school. If there are concerns, they should be discussed with the child’s teacher or the school staff.
If, after careful assessment, no underlying issues are identified and your child still refuses to attend school, it is important to set clear and consistent boundaries while explaining the value of education, routine, and school attendance in a calm and supportive way.
